The Howell Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Dinner & Citizen of the Year event honors community leaders and spotlights key chamber programs and activities.
The 2012 Citizen of the Year was Kathleen Zaenger, director of the Howell Area Carnegie District Library. Other award recipients included: Outstanding Architectural Investment Award, Casa de Bella; Making a Difference Award, Livingston County Hunger Council; Making It Happen Award, Mike Kennedy; Making It Happen Award, Susan Pominville; Young Professional Award, Jesse Parsley and Life Member Award, Dennis Gehringer.
A centerpiece silent auction at the dinner helps raise funds for non-profit organizations.. Businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals can design a centerpiece for the annual dinner. Guests bid on the centerpieces in a benefit for the donor’s designated charity. The centerpiece can be incorporated with a business or organization identity, if desired.
