Art at the Chamber features work of Connie Jermov
Connie Jermov hangs her work on the walls of the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation building.
The work of artist Connie Jermov hangs throughout the area. She did a series of Lenten paintings at Our Lady of Victory Church in Northville, fabric banners for Easter celebrations at the Church of the Divine Child in Dearborn, and commissions for various businesses in Birmingham and Troy, as well as in individual homes.
Jermov also painted the South Lyon High School “Lion” mascot on the wrestling team wall of the gym. The lion, decked out in a wrestling outfit and school colors, stands 8 feet tall and 4 feet wide, and is hung 12 feet off the gym floor. Her works are also on prominent display in the Howell dental office of her husband, Dr. Michael Jermov, to help lessen the clinical, commercial feel of the space, and make patients feel relaxed.
Jermov has also done restoration work on paintings in the collection of the Detroit Institute of Art.
Be sure to check out her work during regular business hours at 123 E. Washington St. in downtown Howell. For more information, contact the chamber at 517.546.3920.
