Butterfly exhibit winging its way to Home & Garden Show

988460_939261116085713_7260121054810387392_nA butterfly house and exhibit will be open at the Livingston County Home & Garden Show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 12.

The exhibit — which is free with home show admission — makes possible an up-close-and-personal look into the lives of butterflies. The butterfly enclosure makes it possible for guests to walk among the live butterflies and watch as they fly, sip nectar and warm themselves in the sun. Guests will also be able to hand-feed the butterflies, and see the beautiful creatures in all stages of their development, from egg to adult.

Guests will also learn about butterfly habitat and conservation, how to create butterfly gardens, and how to establish a Monarch way station.

For more information on the exhibit, or opportunities for sponsorship, contact Brenda Barone at 517.546.3920 or bbarone@howell.org.
