Celebrate spring at the Home & Garden Show
After a winter of truly brutal cold, it’s time to celebrate spring.
At my house, and maybe at yours, spring brings big plans for projects in the garden, yard, patio, and interior of our home.
Let’s get those plans in gear at the 52nd Annual Livingston County Home & Garden Show.
No matter the temperature outside, this year’s show will be full of ideas on how to repair, renovate, renew, repaint, replant, refinance, redecorate and replace our homes and gardens. And if you’re not a do-it-yourselfer, the show will bring you face-to-face with skilled professionals who can make your home improvement dreams come true.
Many thanks to Hartland Insurance, our Major Sponsor; the Livingston Daily Press & Argus, the show’s Media Sponsor; and all the other sponsors that help make this a reality. And we certainly couldn’t do it without our partnership with Howell Public Schools that allows us to rent the Field House, the only facility in the county large enough to house the show.
Look for Home & Garden Show brochures and advertising for $1 off coupons and other incentives, such as free car wash passes for our Friday and Sunday guests.
Back this year after its debut in 2014 is the Neighborhood Marketplace, a cash-and-carry section of the show with garden items, jewelry, food and pet items. It was a huge hit last year and we anticipate it will be even better this year.
We have lots more family activities in the Kids Zone: Face painting on Friday, balloon sculpting on Saturday and an interactive, walk-through Butterfly House on Sunday.
The document shredding event is back on Saturday from 10-2. No charge for this valuable service from Corrigan Record Storage that will help you protect your identify.
We also welcome back the Community Resource Fair and Fine Arts Show all weekend long.
Come hungry on Saturday for the Taste of Livingston County from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Enjoy tastes from area restaurants and caterers in what will surely be your most delicious lunch all year long.
The Howell Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to bring this outstanding event to the community every year, showcasing local businesses that specialize in the home and home improvement markets.
Think spring and welcome to the Livingston County Home & Garden Show.
