Chamber receives balloonfest pin display case

Pin presentation

Chamber Life Member Pam Rietsch presented the Howell chamber with a new commemorative frame of balloonfest pins that will go on display in the chamber building.

Rietsch had been a balloonfest volunteer for the first 25 years of the event, working with the pilots. When she retired from her volunteer post, she presented the chamber with a frame displaying the pins for those first years, but there was no room for more. The new, larger frame Rietsch presented to the chamber during the Oct. 22 open house in honor of Michigan’s Chamber of Commerce Month, diplays the pins from the 31 balloonfests and has room to carry the tradition forward for many more years.
