City sidewalk project getting under way

The remove-and-replace sidewalk program in Howell that begins Monday, April 28, should wind up sometime in early June.

As well as replacing sidewalks in Howell’s downtown development authority area, the project is extending into the city’s Heather Heath and Rolling Oaks subdivisions.

“It’s a pretty significant project,” said Cathleen Edgerly, Howell’s DDA director.

Downtown work, which begins Monday, is expected to last about two weeks, depending on weather conditions and any other unforeseen circumstances that might arise.

Questions about the project should be directed to Howell’s Department of Public Works at 517.546.7510.
