Express Employment’s Holiday Hiring Drive on to find jobs for unemployed during holidays
Express Employment Professionals of Howell has launched a Holiday campaign called Pay It Forward. Their goal is to put 50 new employees to work and provide these job seekers with a paycheck just in time for the upcoming holiday season. Express will donate $40 for each new hire that works at least two days to two Livingston county non-profit organizations; Bountiful Harvest and Gleaners Food Bank. These organizations help the hungry, homeless and hurting right in our community. We hope to be able to provide a Holiday meal to over 300 people this year.
This is a major endeavor that requires us to lock arms with local businesses and job seekers. Several companies have already called us for people and offered their support. Please consider participating this holiday season by giving the gift of employment. Think now about what special projects you may have or what extra tasks could be completed by hiring an extra person for a week or even just two days? Consider a facility clean-up project, a file clerk, general office helper or someone to help with painting or inventory.
Businesses not in need of help can donate the cost of two days. Express Employment Professionals of Howell will put a person to work at a local charity on the business’ behalf.
