Financial Plus Credit Union donates to Flint
Financial Plus Credit Union recently donated $2,500 to the United Way of Genesee County to help with the Flint water crisis. All of the funds donated will purchase water filters, bottled water, emergency support services and prevention efforts for Flint’s residents.
“Our hearts go out to everyone in the community who has been affected by the water crisis,” said Olga Long, senior vice president of Financial Plus Credit Union.
The United Way of Genesee County has donated more than 11,000 filter systems and 5,000 replacement filters with community donations. Funds will also be directed to the Flint Child Health and Development Fund, which provides aid to children and families with interventions that support positive health outcomes.
