Financial Plus helped over 1,300 families this holiday season
Financial Plus Credit Union and the Swartz Creek Area Chamber of Commerce hosted their 13th annual Whatchamacallit networking event on Friday, December 9th. Whatchamacallit is an early morning holiday networking event held at Financial Plus Credit Union’s main office. This networking event gave local business professionals a chance to interact with hundreds of other businesses and community professionals, while benefiting two local charities: Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and the Old Newsboys of Flint.
“We are very passionate about helping the communities we serve and there is no better time than Christmas to rally together and make a difference. The money raised will help feed 1,296 people and provide Christmas gifts to 96 children in our community”. Said Olga Long, Senior Vice President of Financial Plus Credit Union. This highly attended early morning event was filled with giveaways, a breakfast buffet provided by Villagers Family Restaurant, Purves Construction, Donna’s Donuts, Coffee Beanery, Comfort Keepers, Great Harvest Bread Company, Tropical Smoothie Café, Sorrentos, and Sweets by Suzanne Marie. Attendees also got to take their picture with Frosty the Snowman in the complimentary photo booth. There were also live broadcasts from Cars 108, CK 105.5, Nash FM 95.1, and 103.9 The Fox.
