Hit the links to Drive Out Child Abuse

Registration is now open for LACASA’s Drive Out Child Abuse Golf Scramble set for Friday, June 13, 2014, at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Pinckney.

Proceeds from this annual fundraising event help abused and neglected children from Livingston County. All teams at the outing play for an abused child and their teams are named for that child.

The cost is $100 per player and includes 18-holes-of-golf with cart, goody bag, boxed lunch, a variety of competitions, and Midwest barbecue awards dinner.

Players have a chance to win either of the hole-in-one competitions that feature a new car or new boat. A silent auction will be held throughout the day.

The outing begins with check-in at 11:30 a.m. and a shot-gun start is set for 1 p.m. sharp.

Golfers may register and pay online at lacasacenter.org or submit a registration form available at area golf courses or at LACASA Center in Howell. Space is limited to ensure fast play. The registration deadline is June 9, 2014.

All proceeds from this event fund LACASA’s Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program, the agency’s Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Council, and LACASA Center’s Children and Youth Program.

LACASA Center is an independent nonprofit organization supported by individual donations from the community. All contributions stay local and help victims of child abuse and interpersonal violence from Livingston County.
