Howell Area Chamber of Commerce honors award recipients at annual dinner on Jan. 23
Guests at the annual dinner will also be able to enjoy artwork on display in the Johnson Center from the Arthur Secunda Museum.
The Howell Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 57th Annual Dinner & Citizen of the Year Presentation on Thursday, January 23 at the Johnson Center at Cleary University. The event will recognize community leaders and spotlight key Howell Area Chamber of Commerce programs and activities in 2013.
Themed “Night at the Museum: Celebrating our Community Treasures,” the event will also allow dinner guests to enjoy artwork from the Arthur Secunda Museum on display at the Johnson Center.
“We are delighted to announce a number of our award winners in advance,” said Pat Convery, Howell Area Chamber of Commerce president. “The big award of the evening, the announcement of the Citizen of the Year will be kept a secret until the dinner when it is revealed by Kathleen Zaenger, 2012 Citizen of the Year.”
Award recipients being honored at the annual dinner include: Outstanding Community Investment Award, 2|42 Community Church, Livingston County EMS and Livingston County Spencer J. Hardy Airport; Business Friendly Award, City of Howell; Making It Happen Award, Lou Van Cuyl; and Young Professional Award, Chef Adam Merkel.
A centerpiece silent auction to help raise funds for non-profit organizations in the community is part of the festivities. Businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals can design a centerpiece for the annual dinner. Guests will be able to bid on the centerpieces in a benefit for the donor’s designated charity. The centerpiece can be incorporated with a business or organization identity, if desired.
The 57th Annual Dinner & Citizen of the Year Presentation is sponsored by Saint Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital.
