It was a Great Afternoon at Good Morning Livingston with Congressman Mike Bishop

With a crowd of over 100 guests at Crystal Gardens – Livingston, Congressman Mike Bishop discussed a long list of bills, changes, concerns and more. Included in that long list was the debt ceiling, programs like Meals on Wheels and Planned Parenthood, tax reform, health reform, Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and international issues, including concerns with Russia and Syria. Congressman Bishop answered audience questions about baby boomers, bi-partisan stance and concerns about budget-cuts to the U.S. Coast Guard.

Greeting guests at the entrance of Crystal Gardens, about a dozen protestors (and one man wearing a chicken suit) chanted and held signs. A very collected Congressman addressed the matter of the protestors right off the bat, “Those folks are demonstrating something very important, their first amendment right to their freedom of speech.”

Good Morning Livingston and April monthly program sponsor for Howell Area Chamber of Commerce programs in April is The Willows at Howell.
