Journalists discuss state issues at February’s Good Morning Livingston

Two of Michigan’s most-respected journalists will discuss current Michigan issues during a moderated discussion at the Tuesday, Feb. 10, Good Morning Livingston program.

Nolan Finley, the editorial page editor at the Detroit News, and Paul Egan, of the Detroit Free Press’ Lansing bureau, will explore state issues in a discussion moderated by Rich Perlberg, retired publisher of the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus.

Subjects up for discussion include Gov. Snyder’s budget, set for release on Feb. 11; the statewide vote in May to increase the sales tax; Gov. Snyder’s work to improve Michigan’s business climate; Detroit’s story as it emerges from bankruptcy; and the future of Michigan’s newspapers in covering state government.

The event begins at 7:30 a.m. at Crystal Gardens – Livingston, 5768 E. Grand River Ave. in Howell.
