Accepting credit cards is a necessity in today’s business world, and the May 27 Lunch & Learn program will educate owners how to keep the process affordable. The credit card processing industry is intentionally complex to keep business owners from seeing exactly what they are paying for and why. Wendy Caverly of Caverly Consulting will share industry practices and trends so business owners can learn to protect themselves.
Caverly will also cover the various types of equipment used, mobile processing, Internet processing and contracts. Attendees will also learn all about processing structures, the differences between a direct and a third-party processor, PCI compliance and computer chip cards.
The program is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, at the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce, 123 E. Washington St. in downtown Howell. Cost for the program is $20, and includes lunch and all materials. To register, click here, or contact the chamber at (517) 546.3920.
