Lively program on Michigan’s future on tap for March 11 Good Morning Livingston
The Mackinac Center for Public Policy’s “Capitol Confidential,” and The Center for Michigan’s “Bridge Magazine” dig deep journalistically on public policy issues of great importance to Michigan residents. The two organizations have different perspectives, and while they agree to disagree on a host of issues, they also find common ground with others.
And so it is that the March 11 Good Morning Livingston program promises to be lively: John Bebow, president and CEO of the Center for Michigan, and Mike Reitz, executive vice president of The Mackinac Center for Public Policy, will engage in a point/counterpoint discussion of current affairs in the state. Some of the topics up for discussion include transparency and open government, moving to a part-time legislature, funding for roads and schools, and early childhood education.
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. at Crystal Gardens – Livingston, 5768 E. Grand River Ave. in Howell. To register, contact the chamber at 517.546.3920 or e-mail email@example.com. Members can register online at howell.org. The cost for the breakfast event is $20 for members in advance or $25 at the door, and $30 for non-members.
