Livingston County’s got talent – see it on inaugural Talent Tour set for Dec. 11
Get an up-close look at the young talent available in the community on the inaugural Livingston County Talent Tour, set to begin at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the Livingston Educational Service Agency, 1425 W. Grand River Ave. in Howell.
Howell High School’s world-class machining lab and Pinckney Community High School’s national champion Robotics program will be the highlights of this tour. Attendees will board a charter bus at 7:30 a.m. sharp for tours of the programs, after which, lunch will be served.
The tour is aimed at human resource professionals, CEOs, and plant managers from manufacturing companies in Livingston County, and focuses on developing the manufacturing workforce of the future. The tour allows employers to see students in action and discuss partnership opportunities with teachers and administrators.
The event is sponsored by LESA, Ann Arbor SPARK, Livingston Business and Education Alliance, MichiganWorks!, and Intern Livingston.
Intern Livingston is an initiative of the Livingston Business and Education Alliance. It seeks to provide value-added internships for high school and college students, as well as re-trained workers.
