MI Bright Future training set for Aug. 18

Livingston County companies are facing a serious employee pipeline problem. Too few students and job-seekers are completing degrees and certifications in fields that need workers, leaving businesses high and dry in their search for qualified talent.

Companies that are able to connect to students while they are still in school have a greater chance of building their future pipeline of workers. MI Bright Future makes that connection possible.

MI Bright Future is a collaboration between students, educators, and employers. Its aim is to introduce young job-seekers to the region’s growing occupations by connecting on an easy-to-use online platform.

You can learn all about MI Bright Future and the Employer Training Session set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the Michigan Works! Service Center at 1240 Packard Dr. in Howell. Get in touch with Bill Sleight at 517.552.2100 or wsleight@livgov.com if you are interested in attending.

Companies can nourish their talent pipeline by interacting with students throughout the career decision-making process. This can make the future workforce aware of the employment opportunities in Michigan and introduce them to the wealth of opportunities available.

Your company can also benefit from MI Bright Future by completing the online profile on the MI Bright Future website.
