Molly Burk elected chair of Convention & Visitors Bureau

The Board of Directors of the Livingston County Convention & Visitors Bureau (LCCVB) elected Molly Burk of the Baymont Inn & Suites in Howell as board chair during their recent board meeting. Also elected to the bureau’s executive committee is vice chair Wendy Hebert of Homewood Suites in Brighton; secretary/treasurer Jodi Hoag of Tanger Outlet Center; and past chair Cathie Osdras of Holiday Inn & Suites of Brighton.

The executive committee joins fellow board members Pam McConeghy of the Brighton Chamber, Kate Roberts of Got Web, Kristy Cipolla of the Courtyard by Marriott in Brighton, Pat Convery of the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce, and Christine Bennett of the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Howell.

“Molly brings practical knowledge, front-line experience and years of expertise in welcoming visitors to Livingston County,” said outgoing board chair Cathie Osdras. “These skills, along with her leadership abilities, make Molly a perfect choice to lead the board of the CVB.”

“I am proud to be selected by my peers to lead the visitors bureau’s board of directors,” Burk said. “The CVB represents many local tourism partners that collectively generate well over $20 million of economic impact every year. Livingston County is a great destination for visitors, and we need to continue the bureau’s mission of marketing that destination.”

The Livingston County Convention & Visitors Bureau markets and promotes Livingston County as a destination for leisure travelers, motor coach tours, meetings, and conventions. The LCCVB is the official authority for visitor information regarding area attractions, shopping, recreation, events, arts, culture, and accommodations.
