New rec director is a familiar face
Former Howell mayor, Howell Citizen of the Year, and former chamber board chair Paul Rogers is the new director of the Howell Area Recreation Authority.
His appointment comes after a nation-wide search to replace Deborah Mikula, who resigned in May.
Rogers’ community experience is extensive. In addition to being a lifelong Howell resident, he’s served as chairman of the Michigan Challenge Balloonfest, and as Howell’s mayor from 1997-2000. He also served 17 years on the Howell City Council.
