Paulson’s Construction named 2017 East Central Regional Contractor of the Year
The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) named Paulson’s Construction, Inc. in Howell, MI 2017 East Central Regional Contractor of the Year (CotY) in the Residential Interior category of its annual awards competition.
Contractors from seven regions around the country vie for CotY Awards each year. Judging is based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty by an impartial panel of industry experts. NARI named 172 Regional CotYTM winners from the 2017 competition. Regional winners were honored and National winners were announced at NARI’s Evening of ExcellenceSM reception in Scottsdale, AZ.
This year, Paulson’s was recognized for their interior project: a custom library with beautiful oak paneling and adjustable floor to ceiling shelves. As a result of multiple additions over the years, this 1800’s farm house had a narrow interior room where roof lines came together. At one point the room was used as an entry way, but otherwise had no real function. Paulson’s repurposed this room into one with an important function: a quiet place for their clients to relax and to enjoy an extensive book collection. As an added bonus, part of the original space was used to create a walk-in pantry adjacent to the kitchen with much needed storage space.
Each year NARI presents CotY awards to members who have demonstrated outstanding work through their remodeling projects. The entries of this year’s competition totaled more than $103 million worth of remodeling projects. NARI is a professional association whose members voluntarily subscribe to a strict code of ethics. To be considered for a CoTY Award, a company must be a NARI member in good standing.
Paulson’s has been serving the greater Livingston County area since 1996 performing all types of residential remodeling. This is their 6th Regional Contractor of the Year award; in 2012 they won a National award for one of their projects. “We are extremely pleased to have yet another of our projects recognized by a national organization such as NARI,” says Mr. Paul McClorey, president of Paulson’s Construction, “and also very proud of the exceptional craftsmanship on this project.” Paulson’s can be reached at 517-545-8651 or via their website at www.PaulsonsConstruction.com.
