Pepsi investing $15 million into Howell facility

After receiving a tax abatement Oct. 27 from the Howell City Council, Pepsi is investing $15 million into its Howell facility. Pepsi will install blow-molding equipment that will allow it to convert plastic pre-forms into bottles.

Self-manufacturing bottles instead of purchasing from a supplier is key to Pepsi maintaining its competitive, making the company more profitable.

The Pepsi facility in Howell employees 380 people. This investment will add up to five new jobs.
