Preparedness planning on menu of LEC luncheon
Preparedness planning is the topic of both a workshop and the Livingston Economic Club Business Tune-Up luncheon set for 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at The Johnson Center at Cleary University.
Before the luncheon, attorney Ashley Prew, with Timothy L. Williams & Assoc., will talk about business protection and preparedness at a workshop that begins at 10:15 a.m. She will advise participants on how to select and maintain business entities, use effective contracts, protect trademarks and service marks, and plan for occurrences that can destroy a business.
The LEC luncheon begins at noon, featuring keynote speaker Lyal Bigger, Birmingham fire marshal and former Bloomfield Township assistant fire chief for 28 years who is an expert on fire prevention and investigation.
Bigger will talk about site reviews, contingency plans, and preparedness planning, which helps limit damage.
