Salvation Army county commander gets new rank

SalArmyMajorThe Salvation Army of Livingston County commanding officer Prezza Morrison received a new ranking of Major.

Major Prezza Morrison has commanded the corps unit since October.

“I am thankful for the opportunity to fulfill my calling with The Salvation Army of Livingston County and am excited for what God has is store for us here in Livingston County” Morrison said.

The Michigan native has served The Salvation Army since 1985 across the country in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri and South Dakota, including an appointment as an instructor at The Salvation Army College for Officer Training. In addition to her Salvation Army training, she also holds a degree in Pastoral Ministries from Olivet Nazarene College.

Since October Major Morrison has implemented new programs including Teen Nights, focusing on fellowship and fun for all teens, and has family nights in the works. She has also re-energized some of the older programs including Women’s Ministries and Character Building, adding new and exciting opportunities, programing and events.
