Salvation Army reaches its Christmas goal

The Salvation Army of Livingston County reached its $362,000 Christmas Campaign goal.

The Salvation Army’s Christmas Campaign is its largest fundraising effort and the donations support year-round programs. The campaign’s fundraising goal for the 2014 season runs from November 1 through January 31.

“On behalf of those in the community in need who will receive assistance from us this year, I thank you,” says Envoy Prezza Morrison, Corps Officer for The Salvation Army of Livingston County. “Without your help it would have been difficult to serve the many who come through our doors on a daily basis. Now we are able to serve more people with housing, energy and food assistance.”

Funds were raised through the red kettles located all over Livingston County, as well as through mail, individual fundraising efforts, and Internet donations.
