TG Fluid Systems cuts ribbon on new facility
TG Fluid Systems celebrated its new, state-of-the-art facility at 100 Interior Drive in Brighton on Tuesday, May 12, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Mr. Tadashi Arashima, president of Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd., as well as area dignitaries.
Toyoda Gosei was established in 1949. Its global headquarters are in Japan, with regional North American headquarters in Troy, Mich. The TG group provides a variety of high-quality products internationally, with a global network of 35,000 employees at 97 plants and offices in 18 countries and regions. In North America, TG employes approximately 10,600 people at 21 plants and offices. Through its flexible, integrated global supply system and leading-edge technologies for automotive safety, comfort and environmental protection, Toyoda Gosei aims to be a true global supplier of choice that delivers the highest levels of satisfaction to customers worldwide.
TG Fluid systems, established in 2000, makes automotive parts like plastic hoses and tubes. The company plans to invest $12.9 million into the facility, with support from the Michigan Economic Development Corp. the new facility will also employ over 400 people by the end of 2016.
The Michigan Department of Transportation awarded a grant to significantly improve the road where TGFS is located, which will improve safe access to the facility.
