United Way fund-raising drive kicking off at Rex Materials
When Rex Materials Group president David Rex thought about celebrating his new corporate headquarters with Livingston County, he wanted to do so in a way that would benefit the community.
At his invitation, the Livingston County United Way will kick off its fall fund drive at an open house from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at the brand-new Rex Materials Group facility in Howell.
“I’m thrilled to open our new headquarters to the community, but even more so, I wanted to use the occasion to spotlight all the good things happening in Livingston County,” Rex said. “So during the event, visitors will learn about how the lives of families, children and seniors are being improved through the work of the Livingston County United Way.”
“The Livingston County United Way has a long track record of investing in programs that result in more financially secure families, children ready to learn and excel, and healthier lives for our area seniors, families and children,” said Rick Scofield, Campaign Co-Chair with David Morse.
Rex Materials Group, a manufacturer of high-temperature insulation and materials, is located at 1600 Brewer Road, Howell. Additional parking for the open house will be available at the Citizens Insurance parking lot, with shuttle services provided by L.E.T.S. RSVPs are requested to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 810-494-3000.
