Work Skills Golf Palooza set for May 19
The Work Skills Foundation Golf Palooza tees off on Monday, May 19, at Lakelands Golf and Country Club, 8760 Chilson Road in Brighton. This year’s outing has a tropical theme and participants can expect plenty of fun in addition to playing 18 holes on this beautiful private course.
For more than 40 years, WSC has provided educational, vocational and recreational programs for people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. Proceeds from the Golf Palooza will support our efforts to create a community that offers opportunity for everyone with the desire to succeed. The Golf Palooza is the Foundation’s only annual fundraising event.
The Golf Palooza starts with continental breakfast at 10 a.m. Shotgun start is at 11 a.m. and features lunch on the turn, beverages on the course, Hole in One and Closest to the Pin contests. As golfers head to the clubhouse afterwards, they will enjoy a delicious island-themed buffet, wine pull, silent auction filled with fabulous items and awards program emceed by WSC Board Member Rich Perlberg.
